RIVER CITY CASINO, HOTEL AND CONVENTION CENTER
The River City Casino project in South St. Louis County, MO was a two-phase project. The 270,000 sq. ft. Phase I building features a 90,000 sq. ft. casino, several restaurants, a multi-use community center, and athletic fields, and construction of a new roadway connector from I-55 to the South Broadway corridor. The 160,000 sq. ft. Phase II hotel and convention center, which includes an adjacent 16,000 car garage was constructed shortly after the completion of the first phase. The 200-room hotel and 14,000 sq. ft. multi-purpose event center provides the casino with the ability to entertain up to 1,400 guests at one time.
Located approximately ten miles south of downtown St. Louis in the community of Lemay, River City is situated on approximately 80 acres of land leased from the St. Louis County Port Authority. This first phase of the project was completed in 16 months and delivered $10 million under budget, and the second phase was completed in 13 months and was delivered ahead of schedule.
