CONFIDENTIAL CLIENT
Following unprecedented, historic rainfall in July 2022, this state-of-the-art Global Research and Development facility sustained catastrophic flood damage caused by an adjacent creek. Through a competitive process, PARIC was chosen for this mission-critical, design-build project.
Originally built in the late 50’s – early 60’s, PARIC has begun gutting and redoing the entire building, including rebuilding the classroom area. Additionally, our team is renovating the facility to not only repair the areas damaged by the historic flooding, but also flood-proofed every opening of the facility through passive, dry flood-proofing methods. PARIC self-performed these concrete barriers that can only be found in one other location in the St. Louis area.
The team collaborated with the Owner to develop and implement a detailed, multi-phase plan to minimize impact to employees’ day-to-day operations as the facility remains open during construction.
