Reporting to the Vice President of Preconstruction, this position is responsible for leading estimating and design teams through the preconstruction process, assisting the Project Executives in their role.
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field, or related experience.
Experience:
- 15 or more years of construction experience.
- On-site project experience is preferred.
- Experience managing a team through the preconstruction and estimating process preferred.
Skills:
- Exceptional communication and excellent listening skills.
- Recognize problems. Provide and implement solutions.
- Experience with multiple project types and sizes.
- Understanding of unit costs for various project types ($/sf, $/key, $/car, etc.).

Duties/Tasks:
- Lead and manage a team through the preconstruction and design process. Communicate strategy, expectations.
- Prepare conceptual estimates, including detailed clarifications, schedules, etc.
- Lead strategy discussions to move project forward.
- Prepare and update preconstruction schedule, as well as preliminary high level construction schedule. Provide strategy for logistics, procurement, etc.
- Actively participate in sales presentations and Owner meetings as required.
- Lead buyout and subcontractor interviews as necessary in conjunction with the project teams
- Participate in contract negotiations.
- Ensure compliance with project budgets and provide analysis of deviations. Drive creative solutions for budget challenges.
- Develop and maintain strategic relationships with Subcontractors, Owners, Architects and Engineers.

Summary/Objective
The position of Project Safety Manager reports directly to the appropriate Sr Safety Manger and indirectly to the Project Manager. The position calls for candidates with passion and drive. This is an upper level project-based role that requires a high level of commitment and dedication to the health and well-being of others. The ideal candidate will have education, training, excellent communication skills and experience commensurate with the desired position. This includes experience with training, injury management, program development, personnel management, leadership development, site management, supervisor engagement, client interaction, management counsel, injury care, conflict resolution and other HSE experience that may not be listed here. The Project Safety Manager is responsible for the overall administration of PARIC’s safety guidelines for a specific job site/sites. This individual is to be a safety leader on the project, and serve as the point person for all things safety for the specific job site/sites.
Key Aims and Objectives
- To actively seek and address the gaps between good safety performance and great safety performance;
- Positively influence all stakeholders by action, belief and conviction in the Paric’s safety management system; and
- Improve performance by demanding safety excellence.
Supervisory Responsibility
Supervision of the project safety team may be required.
Work Environment
This job operates on active construction sites as well as professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment. Active construction site conditions may require a person working in extreme temperature conditions.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., although hours may vary from time to time in order to support the needs of project teams.
Travel
Regular local travel by car is expected on average 3 – 5 times per week for this position. Assignments may include remote projects, requiring either relocation or long-term travel by car and/or air.
Required Education and Experience
- Prefer a minimum of 5 - 10 years of experience in construction HSE management, with at least four years in an HSE supervisory or management role
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety or closely related field.
- Capable of providing HSE oversight for large projects (>250 employees)
- 30-hour OSHA certification
- CPR /First Aid/AED trained.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint).
Preferred Education and Experience
- Ability to use the BIM Field safety management system
- Additional leadership or HSE based continuing education
- Nationally recognized certifications (CSP, ASP, SMS, CHST, or OHST) or Degree in Occupational Safety & Health or related field

Position Summary
The Superintendent is responsible for the overall success of the project, including cost, schedule and execution, people/team development, relationship building, safety and quality. Specifically, this position is accountable for on-site coordination for all project phases, including subcontractors, material, and equipment, ensuring that specifications are followed, and that work is proceeding on schedule and within budget. The jobsite location is in St. Louis, Missouri.
Education or Experience Required
- 6 years minimum experience as a Superintendent with commercial and/or industrial experience
- Know and understand project cost book
- Achieve baseline and maximize profitability within project.
- Understand and manage subcontractor scopes of work to minimize additional cost.
- Resolve additional costs and disputed items promptly in coordination with Project Manager (i.e. extra tickets, subcontractor overtime, etc.)
- Understand General Conditions and work to maintain respective budgets and project labor plan to optimize savings wherever possible.
- Assist in development of an accurate baseline schedule, and ensure achievement of baseline schedule.

Position Description
PARIC Corporation is currently seeking a Senior Project Engineer based in St. Louis, MO. This position is responsible for helping to keep the project within established goals for quality, timeliness, budget, profitability, safety, and customer satisfaction. As a Senior Project Engineer, along with the Project Manager, you are responsible for the financial performance of the project, project schedule, subcontractor negotiations, and Owner relationships. This position reports directly to the Project Manager or Project Executive. This position is little to no travel required.
