PARIC was chosen for the redevelopment and the re-imagining of the Boone Theater in Kansas City, Missouri. Located at 1701 E. 18th Street in the historic 18th and Vine Jazz District, the Boone Theater first opened in 1924 as the New Rialto. The theater served as a vital core to the commercial and entertainment center created by the local African American community.

Once completed, the Boone Theater will house the Black Movie Hall of Fame, the Black Repertory Theatre of Kansas City and multiple office suites.

The revitalization of the Boone Theater will continue to strengthen the Vine District by complementing existing developments, amplifying activity and contributing to the preservation of the heritage and culture of the District.
