PARIC was the construction manager for a new 15,888 sq.ft. city hall and police station for the City of Cottleville, Missouri. The facility is LEED certified – the first for a municipality in St. Charles County. City Hall’s Green features make more efficient use of energy, water and other resources, lowers operating costs and results in a building that provides a more healthful environment both inside and outside. Inside, natural light, low-emitting construction materials, movement-activated off/on lights and multi-thermostatically controlled comfort zones provide a healthful, energy-efficient environment. Outside, rain gardens filter and treat stormwater runoff, Cool Roof Rated shingles reduce the heat island effect, special street lamps reduce night-sky light pollution, and wetlands are restored.
